As you say, the left picture is clearly Dempsey bridge - the other one is odd. The brick structure to the left of the pier does not look like Bislich/Xanten at all...

Not sure what these pile/pillar stacks are called or if this is a compare of the same one, but they are similar in upper construction. An amazing amount of work and material went into building these bridges.

Yes, the brickwall and the structure behind looks like a destroyed bridge, something like that did not existed at Xanten / Bislich.

The same photo was offered on Ebay some time ago together with other photos, where you can also see the scene with the large poplar tree.
All the photos were labelled on Ebay as photos of the ‘R.E. 65 Field Coy’. I don't yet know where that might have been.
There were also some photos showing the Patton Bridge in Cologne in that offer. However, it looked different there.

Hi hoping someone can help track down a Class 24 bridge, O'Dell Bridge. Dedicated to G O'dell who died of his wounds in 1944. I am afraid I have no other information to go on.
