Thank you for posting this, we need to know these things happened. There is a book called "Europa Europa" it is the true story of another young teenage Jewish boy who escapes from Germany to Poland and then to Russia. I have a distant cousin, his mother was a Gentile and we are related on her side. He told me nearly everyone in Jerusalem knows the story or has a copy of it. The individual in the story relocated to Israel after the war. It is a GREAT story and DVD if you can get it.
