Would contacting this French association be worthwhile? haven't seen them mentioned elsewhere in this thread.

    GRCA 1939-40

They cover GRDI units as well as GRDA and have a brief history of 5e GRDI : Historique du 5e GRDI

The eyewitness account at the bottom of that page does not help in this case as the writer was captured earlier in the campaign near Breda (if my poor French comprehension is correct).

They have vehicle serial number lists for some individual GRDI and GRDA units, but unfortunately not for 5e GRDI.

Found the site while looking for information about French units at St Valery en Caux.

    Hallo,

Any idea as to when Volume II (French Campaign) of your Panzerregiment 1 chronicle is going to be available?

    Hello,

I will have finished describing the campaign by the middle of next year. Then I will take a look at the terrain in France and finalize the text. Then my work will be done and my two colleagues will turn it into a book. Depending on how fast they are—maybe mid-2027.
