    Thank you for the links to the films. Wonderful find at University of Manchester! My dad was at Dunkirk, he was in 8th Pioneer Battalion of the King's Own Royal Regiment.

    Very interesting ,for impatient like me :) Dunkirk on reel 1 at 4.08 m for 1 min , wonder if there is more ?

    Certainly will view this on youtube; my dad was at Dunkirk with 8 Worcs Regt.

    Great film, but only about 3 minutes of reel one might be Dunkirk as JCB has noted.

    Judging by the weather shown, the Dunkirk portion begins at about 4:09 on the first reel and ends around 5:04. Unfortunately there is no footage at the actual beaches as the coverage begins when his ship already has a full load of soldiers.
