Hi All. I am researching a chap who apparently joined the 2nd Battalion of this unit c.1940, and am wondering if anyone can tell me anything about it. All thoughts and information welcome. TIA Andrew

Quite a few volunteers from Trinidad named on this website, minus which unit though: Caribbean Roll of Honour

Likewise only one dead on CWGC listed as 1st Battalion, all others no specified unit: Search Results | CWGC

Try a journal article, 21 pgs., 'The Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force: Origin, Structure, Training, Security and Other Roles' available on JSTOR (free when registered): https://www.jstor.org/stable/40653996

Ancestry has something: Juana Perez De Correa - Public Member Stories - Ancestry.com

    From an odd place:

Thank you to all, especially Temujin, for the very helpful replies. Can anyone confirm the date on which the Volunteers were established, or is it stated in one of the documents posted and I've missed it? Many thanks again. Andrew

    Found this:

Trinidad Volunteers, formed on 3 June 1879, later called "the Trinidad Regiment", was disbanded in 1948. Hence, Trinidad and Tobago unlike Barbados and Jamaica, did not have an existing regiment when it became independent in 1962. The Regiment was actually started out of the St. James Barracks
