Hi TD, Thanks for your input. Yes, many men in the 13th King's in Burma came from drafts from 5 King's in 1942. I have no man called Sherand in my Longcloth Roll, which is exciting in itself. Steve
Anything is possible tmac. There were Danes, Poles, South Africans, Kiwis and even Greek nationals amongst the Chindit Brigade in 1943.
Hi Veronica, I can see Steward too. He would be a new name for my roll if this is correct. Getting everyone's input is invaluable as it widens the thought process, especially as I have a database from which I can compare possiblities. Many thanks. Steve
Hi Lotus7, Your reply is interesting, because there was a Corporal Lister on Longcloth. Thanks for broadening my search with this poser. Steve
Hi Darren, Yes, I have written a short narrative about Daniel Burns on my website. I was contacted by one great grandson a while back, so it is possible he is already aware. Here is a link: pte-daniel-burns.html

Hi Darren, Small world as they say, I knew I recognised your name, but I deal with several contacts each week, either via my website of other avenues and so did not quite place it. Glad the info was of interest. Steve
