Helping a mate out if I can who thought his late father was in the MP but I have since found out he was in the RASC for a while transferring to MP circa 1943/44. Think he was in Cairo with the MP and discharge 15th Dec 1944

He would like to know more about where he served and when. Obtaining Service Records is a poss but I believe its a lengthy process as I have been waiting 18 months for my own fathers papers.

Any help you guys can offer us would be very much appreciated. Denis only has one "N"



According to his discharge papers


Abroad from 24th June 1940 to 25th May 1942

Service number 142571 and a sergeant we think in the MP

 

As you know get them to apply now the sooner the better

His record is not available online and is the definitive record. There is nothing you can do about the wait. The records were never intended to be read today.
