Thanks to this thread Defence of Britain Project, I came across this site for the first time today. Top marks for an excellent, well constructed and well laid out site. The pages on methodology are really first class. One of the best WW2 sites I have had a look at for a while. The Defence of East Sussex Project The Defence of East Sussex Project
I particularly like the Google Earth page. The reconstructed pillbox and arcs of fire are rather good. Do you know the site's author Paul, being an ex-Sussex resident yourself?
I'm not really into the land war, at home or abroad but I was impressed by this site, well put together and very informative. Thanks for posting Paul.
No, not come across him before, but there has always been a massive interest in all things military in Sussex.
Splendid site! - I'll add it to the links. Nice one to 'ARP Warden' for mentioning it. I see it's from the same 'stable' as the excellent Martello Towers one, which I had visited previously: Martello Towers Homepage
Sorry to resurrect an 18-month old thread, but having just joined I thought I'd just thank you all for your kind comments! - Pete
Never a need to apologise for dragging out old threads Pete. That's a cracking set of sites you've built up. Cheers, Adam.
