I can double check with someone from Telawi/Georgia in my home town. Stefan.

I have spoken to a person from Georgia today running a Cafe downtown. She will look at the name and may or may not confirm any family roots in Georgia today.
It was total news to me that the Wehrmacht had Georgians included. Stefan.

The person from Telawi/Georgia told me that the writing is not Georgian, but Russian.
The name did not ring any bells and since she has no internet, nothing more I can do right now.
Would be great to know for his family in Georgia to know what happened to him.
    Stefan.

Peuk, Mohr and Zuzunaswilli, I'm having to order in writing due to no date of birth or age listed. You can't do it online for some reason.

Last one until the 3 remaining hard copies come through the post. Nice that this one possibly has his unit added if 81 JD 188 V.E.T Corps means anything to anyone.

    Morning,

Many thanks for posting once again.

I have this for Moritz which you may already have.

He died on Monday 14 April 1947 when he was fatally injured when in collision with a motor car on the Nottingham Road at Rufford, Southwell, Nottinghamshire whilst in a work party laying kerbstones along the road.

An Inquest into his death was held on Monday 21 April 1947, the County Coroner, Colonel H.J. Thompson sitting with a jury.

The court heard that the car was driven by Donald Wood, an Education Officer for the Worksop district, of 404, Carlton Road, Worksop.

Moritz received a fractured base of skull with death being almost instantaneous.

A verdict of ‘accidental death’ was returned by the jury.

    Regards,

    Graeme

Wigsley Hostel / Drinsey Nook. I have looked through the reports for Nether Headon Camp 52 and it lists Wigsley Hostel in 1946 with c.300 pows. I am curious as to why it is stated that it was located in Drinsey Nook.
