Welwyn Hatfield Museum Service might hold something.
This photo of De Havilland's Home Guard Auxiliary Bomb Disposal Unit, led by P. Pocock is held by them.

    Clive,

Nothing more infuriating than someone joining the forum, asking a million questions and when they've got what they want? Sayonara.

Oh well, our responses might go to help someone-else at a later date researching along similar lines.

    Hi folks,
Does anyone have any pointers for De Havilland employee records. My grandfather Ronald James Mitchell, was an engineer at Hatfield, and im trying to find out as much as i can.
    Many thanks.
