DCLI BERET 'EMBLEM' QUERY

    The attached photo is of a soldier in the DCLI. Can anyone suggest, please, what the object/emblem on the beret next to the badge might be?

    I'm more interested in the shoulder title... usually they wore DCLI either in white on red or yellow on green....

    No the DCLI title cane in in late August 44. Before then it was 'Cornwall' in white on scarlet.
