Flicking through the Dunsfold collection of classic/odd (some really odd) Landrovers:

I came upon this nice example of a modern use of Dazzle pattern camouflage to disguise the shape of a prototype discovery on road trials:

Like HMS Argus on wheels ;).

Didn't we have a thread covering dazzle patterns?
I searched but could not find.

    Cheers,
    Adam.

Bizare, really works, you eye (brain?) is drawn by the high contrast, the outline is hard to look at.

    There'll be complaints.

I'm dazzled by the fact that the BBC website has adverts on it. Sorry, wanted to watch the video, but turned off in disgust 15 seconds into a 30 second commercial. I really don't know what the world is coming to - adverts on the BBC! Didn't we fight against this sort of thing in WWII?

No adverts on there for me in UK, is it set up differently as you are in NL ?

BBC does advertise overseas as it helps cover the costs of international services. I believe it is permitted in their Charter?

Ah, I see. I have a vpn gismo on my computer that makes it seem I am logging on from the UK. I used to use it for betting on the horses when I lived in the US (I was living in the land of the free when they banned online gambling - no irony there!), and I now use it for logging onto BBC and ITV iplayer from The Netherlands. Turned off - commercials, turned on - no commercials. Obviously, if you live abroad and go to the BBC website, you have to watch commercials, as SDP says.

Strictly speaking I don’t think she has a dazzle design but just camouflage to break up her outline.

Agreed but caught the end of a report on her on the radio the other day & thought I'd poke a thread.

Apologies for the slightly nerdy comment Owen! Well done for spotting the ship.

    I shouldn't be able to spot the ship, she's camouflaged . :)
