    Thanks for posting Clive.:poppy:

    His service record is on Ancestry. Wounded in Action in France 14/8/44. He suffered gun shot wounds to his legs and his left leg was amputated. Admitted Wroughton RAF Hospital near Highworth, Swindon, Wiltshire 19/8/44 where he died of his wounds.

    Copy death certificate attached.

    He married Dorothy nee Prior in June 1942 Clive. Dorothy and their young son Peter born Sept 1943 - lived in Girton Rd, Sydenham.

    Hi Clive,

    He was a Canadian - born in Montreal.

    Volunteered in Canada and came to UK July 1940. To France late July 1944.
