An interesting blog about the crossing in 1944 of US paratroopers over the river Waal in Nijmegen. (not Maas ..oeps) "remember" ( ) theBridgeTooFar scene with Robert Redford ? http://www.gelderlander.nl/extra/blogs/gesneuvelden-de-oversteek-1944?ref=ankeiler_set It shows the men that fell and where they were from in the USA. Interesting for me; more casualties than I imagined (but that is my fault), and interesting to see the majority of soldiers came from the north-east coast.
