For all who passed through this way, and their families, friends, and all good researchers out there who keep the flame of memory and remembrance burning bright.

Part one of pages relating to Chieti from; "FOR YOU THE WAR IS OVER" by former inmate Gordon Horner (book published privately in 1946)

Kind regards, always remember, never forget,

    Jim.

Many thanks Jim - wonderful illustrations. Have you come across the book by Jo Frelinghuysen "Passages to Freedom" He was one of the Yanks in Chieti and had some choice things to say about the Brits!

No, haven't seen that one, thanks for the tip, I'll seek it out. And, I can but imagine what many of our American friends thought of some British officers , and vice-versa!

    Again, thanks for the information.

    Kind regards, always,

    Jim.
