    Serious bit here chaps:

Due to legal definitions of 'a child' on the Internet and protection issues thereof, where a website can be held liable should any problem happen for a child via that site, I'm afraid this forum now requires registered members to be 13 or over.

This change has been enacted for new registrations already but it might be a good idea to check that your birthday on your usercp is right, you can still keep these details secret of course but not having filled in details may cause some conflicts when trying to use the forum in the future.

As we only had one registered user who was listed below this age this shouldn't be a problem for anyone.
Children (12 and under) will still be able to join the forum but will require a parent or guardian to approve their membership and join as well.

There is also a new user-group of 'Recruit' where new members with less than 5 posts are denied access to the forums internal messaging systems.

Sorry for that little bit of seriousness but we think it's best to lay down proper systems to protect the forum and everyone in it just in case, god forbid, anything unpleasant should ever happen :).

    Cheers,
    Adam.

An age limit I can live with. Thank God there isn't a weight limit!

What about a post limit.:D Do you know who I am talking about?

He will see the funny side I'm sure.

  6. Phaethon

    Is that a hypothetical question?:D

No, it was a request. It would have been hypothetical if I had asked "what if" or "what would happen if" we had a section where....

Strangely enough, I now find myself falling into your trap by replying with a hypothetical point.

    DAMN YOU!!!!

Nice. I once suggested a permanently closed 'Alternate History' section to Owen, with a new thread button that took you in circles, but his old blindness came on at the first mention of 'what if', and I don't think he took the point...

You used the phrase "Alternate History" He's from Wiltshire, you know, probably confused him.

Neither could I... :D ... Does that mean we totally trust Adam... Or are we are just 'serial' clickers???

Susan... Either you're an alternative staircase designer, or you're the person responsible for the 'psych' test I took to become a train driver....

    BTW I didn't click, so now I'll never know.
Come to think of it, I haven't clicked for years.;)
What does hypothetic mean? Is it where pothetic people go to get high? If so, do you have to be over 13?

    Fiddling about done.
Some stuff's been shuffled around, so you may notice some links to threads have gone dead. They're all still there, but may require a quick search to relocate. Nothing's been binned.

    Serial clickers I reckon...

Thanks Adam, at least someone knows how to do some housework!
I will retain the right to complain if I find a broken link though.

Forget serial clicking. Fiddling about is clearly where its at -haven't done that for a while. I blame the kids.
