5776759 Jack Needler, 2nd Royal Norfolks attached to 6 Commando - a little extra info on him here Cpl. Jack Needler and CWGC page at Casualty he was a Sergeant in the intelligence section of 6 Commando for D-Day and into Normandy, he was wounded 20 August 1944 - the book seems to have been issued as a temporary ID while he was being treated just before his death. His death certificate and cause of death is "committed suicide by shooting himself while the balance of his mind was disturbed" at Barossa Barracks Aldershot

    Casualty

The War Diary has "1145hrs: While a party of 1 Platoon was undergoing instruction on Teller-mines 1,2, and 3, an explosion occured killing eight, in platoon lines. Spr O'Connor died at 141 Fd Amb. RAMC" - the casualty returns has 2nd (as does his grave & the CWGC website) but then a correction to the 1st.

The grave photo came from Wikisicily.com http://www.wikisicily.com/catania/scheda_catania.php?id=120&plot=IV&fnd=J.39# the medal slip has the first initial as J rather than T

9310 Edgar Malcolm SEAGER 1/5th London Regiment (London Rifle Brigade), Killed between 5th and 10th August 1918
    Casualty

he had been renumbered 300066 by the time of his death - ancestry also mentions he had been number 985 in 20th London Regiment. He landed in France 4th November 1914, so he seems to have been one of the originals with the Battalion when they went overseas and almost made it through.

His name is on the East Wickham and Welling War Memorial

T/2390014 Driver Frank Sidney Goodwin, 30 Troop Carrying Company RASC, died 25/12/42 - I have the Company War Diaries but apart from a mention of him being in a CCS during week ending 19th December I cant see any other info - he wasn't noted on the 12th and between the 2 dates there don't seem to be any incidents, the return below has him as Died so no clues there either.
