Wondering if anyone can help with information on 1/7th Bn Middlesex Regiment in October 1944 and Roderick MacPherson who is a former pupil of Perth Academy. 170464, Capt Roderick George Macpherson 1/7th Bn Middlesex Regiment Son of Mrs Macpherson, Dron Schoolhouse, Bridge of Earn, Perthshire Husband of Molly Macpherson, Johannesburg. Died on 29th October 1944 Buried in Bergenop-Zoom War Cemetery, Netherlands. Probably died during Operation Infatuate, but that's all I seem to be able to find out apart from this brief newspaper report. Perthshire Advertiser, 8th November 1944 Deaths - On Active Service MACPHERSON - Killed on active service in Holland during October, Captain R. G.
