I am think that it might be one of the Iron Duke Class which included Iron Duke, Marlborough, Renown and the Emperor of India. I may of course be completely wrong.
I don’t believe this are the Iron Duke class……If you note the lower “secondary battery” first gun from the front, starts BEHIND the “B” Turret (if fact its more in line with the Bridge?)……but in the Iron Duke class the same secondary battery first gun from the front actually is in line with “A” Turrent. Source lets you look at all 4 ships of the Iron Duke class Source: Iron Duke Class - World Naval Ships Directory Side view of Iron Duke class, you can see what I mean compared to the photo’s
I’m NOT positive, but I “think” it may be HMS Canada……at single class battleship actually ordered by Chile but requisitioned by Britain HMS Canada (1913) HMS Canada - World Naval Ships Directory I’ve been searching, trying to confirm the above, and I’m not positive on my identification. I’m 99% certain it is NOT an Iron Duke class (because of the secondary battery locations)…..but HMS Canada seems the closest “fit” to the photo’s you have posted….but I would like to find a photo that I can say 100% it HMS Canada……still looking…….maybe another naval expert can jump in and give their thoughts?
It is HMS Revenge in 1918. BRITISH SHIPS OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR BRITISH SHIPS OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR BRITISH SHIPS OF THE FIRST WORLD WAR
Built a model of the Revenge when I was a boy. I can't remember the manufacturer but the cover art was fantastic.
