This is Gunner Sam Rowland (left) and Gunner John Rowland, two brothers who were members of 319 Battery, 92nd LAA Regiment, RA. The picture was taken some time after D-Day. John was killed on October 31, 1944 when he and Sam were caught by shelling and is buried at Overloon Cemetery. I’d be interested to hear if anyone can glean any more information from the picture and what make of motorbike it is.
