    My grandfather (Louis KOPF) was - with other French resistants- arrested -like Lieutenant James Lovitt Silly- emprisonned with him and tortured in Moyenmoutiers , driven to the forest (place called Le Barodet) finally shot dead and their bodies burnt by the nazi Gestapo. A yealry commemoration ceremony takes place on the Sunday nearest to October 22nd, date of the murder. Information available with the "Mairie" at Moyenmoutiers.
