Chris I just found a post I did on another thread. A guy commemorated on the BW Memorial and buried in India. Same date, serial number, relatives, but 2 different units? http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/searching-someone-military-genealogy/21194-royal-artillery-roll-honour-1939-47-a-36.html#post251781 Cheers - Rob
Rob will get this reported. You wouldnt like to hazard a guess on the correct unit would you. Thanks for bringing this to my attention Chris
Rob will get this reported. You wouldnt like to hazard a guess on the correct unit would you. Thanks for bringing this to my attention Chris Chris I don't have a clue as to which unit he served in. I thought of looking at the war diary references at Kew to see which country both Regiments were serving, but they finish in 1946 when most were disbanded. I've e-mailed CWGC again, so as to save you duplicating the effort. Will update this thread and yourself when I hear back. Cheers - Rob

Hi Chris, Link to a post I did about two entries for the same man on the CWGC database. They have deleted the reference to his entry on the Brookwood Memorial and will remove the name in the future. http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/war-cemeteries-war-memorial-research/30479-cwgc-headstone-memorial-error-reports-results-10.html#post401821 Regards - Rob
