Does anyone know of this incident, have any info or been to the location etc etc ?

All I know is Corporal Bertie Bell (unit unknown) was the only survivor of a XYZ amount of PoW's murdered according to the book I'm reading which is a rather good book called Dunkirk-The Men They Left Behind.

There are a few pages on the net but they all appear to be in French.

    Cheers

Title updated due to a more apt one

Can't see anything on any of those sites about a massacre of British prisoners.

Cheers Paul, Kate sent me a msg last night to that effect.

I may email the author again (Hope he doesn't get fed up with me). I'm going back over to the Dunkirk area in Feb and this would be an ideal subject to look at.

Being a National Archives novice (First time I've 'properly' tired to used it) can someone tell me if this may be this file could be related to the incident - WO 311/99 ?

You could try TS 26/205 WO 208/4647 as well as WO 311/99

The SURREYS' history doesn't have much to say except that the Bn withdrew to the forward edges of three woods 27/28 May then C Coy attempted to clear through the village of Voormezeele before being recalled. The next event is the continuation of the withdrawal at 2100, presumably 28 May.

The QUEENS' states a strong German attack from 1100 28 May hit 131 and 133 Bds who were centre and right/North flank respectively. Z Coy 1/6 QUEENS, on their extreme left and tying in with 132 Bde on the left/South, were not engaged but reported 4 RWK on their left were withdrawing around 2100 28 May.
