These pictures come from an photo album with no records as to the time /locations /names of anyone in the pictures. It is assumed from the content that the photos are British servicemen and their families in India and they might be pre or post WW2. It would be really helpful if members of the forum, using their knowledge of the aircraft /vehicles/uniforms in some of the photographs, could hazard a guess as to when these photogaphs might have been taken. Any other background infornation would also be gratefully received. The photos in some cases are not of very good quality.
Hi Julian What an amazing set of photos. The aircraft appears to be a Fairey Albacore, used by the Fleet Air Arm. This would explain the presence of naval ratings in the group and also naval ratings and officers in the final photograph. Steve
The aircraft is a Fairy Albacore of the Fleet Air Arm which suggests Ceylon 1942/43 sorry for the overlap
