Just back from a 14-day stay in the area (near Bure), although I study the battle for more than 30 years now, it was the first time I was able to visit the area in-dept, with some correct books, and it was an unbelievable eye-opener. Went 3 times to Bure village alone, just to understand the battle there.

Hello there, I live in Bure and I am one of the co-organisers of the yearly Battle of Bure commemoration.

Geert - I still would like to post a small thread on the "Bataille de Bure 1945" over here on WW2talk. Not unlike my other thread Ardennes 1945, 51st Highland Div or 16th December 1944 Battle of the Bulge begins

Visited Bure two years ago with Vestingjager and made a lot of photographs of the area ... however real live intervened and nothing has come of my plans as yet.

    Any suggestions re documents?
