I wonder if anyone can help me with the reparation of my transit box for the Bren.

I know there is markings on one side of the box and that is :
"CHEST BREN 303 IN MG Mk 1".

But I wonder if there is more markings on the top and the other side ? Our on the side ?

The box is for a Mk 1.

Any info is more than welcome and pictures would be great !

    Thanks in advance.

I've got one in the attic that my Mk.1 deac came in - will endeavour to dig it out and have a shufti, but of course it's markings are as likely to be postwar as anything.

One box view here, but I'll go and have a look:

Views from all sides of one Bren box.
Plain stuff - suspect the black markings on the front are something to do with it's Mediterranean ownership at some point (gun has 'Greek looking' markings on it.)
Mk.1 Inglis 1940/41 (can't remember) if that makes any difference - but obviously no real guarantee that the box matches the gun exactly.

Been meaning to drag it out and make sure the deactivation cert is still there.

Thanks Cisse, C5425 is a early 1940 full double dovetail gun, of which there were approx. 44,500 of these made before the crown was omitted and replaced with the ED logo on the right hand side. These are some in the USA and UK which still exist

Well, Now I need to find the missing parts for the box. Any help is welcome... I need to see what I have and what I'm missing, but one thing I know already is that I missing the cleaning rod that goes between the 2 leather belt loops on the toplitt.
I don't know if there was any label inside with the contents ?
