    Hi guys

Seeing as the bren is winning hands down against the BAR and a few photos have been posted I thought a thread to share pictures may be in order?

Personally I would like to see period photos of the Bren in action and BEF especially.

    Any takers?

The middle one is an Osprey book. I think in the book it state's that it was a Favorite of the Maquis, I think off me top of my head that the bren gun girl is Canadian??

The French Milice on the Vichy side were armed with Bren Guns as an LMG as were many German SS Units - these weapons were in the main captured from the Allies or from container drops tothe Resistance forces in Europe.

The image of the Commando Bren Gunner was taken at Anzio.

The Bren shown here is a Canadian Inglis Mk1 gun, it has to be a serial number of M5000 to M7500 ish from early 1941.
