From a purely asthetic point of view (disregarding any and all technical merit), which tank from the war do you think was the most visually appealing? My choice probably seems kind of plain, but I've always been partial to the Panzer IV Ausf (any model with a long barrel), and without the side skirts.
Yep, I'd vote for Crusader - sand streaming from the dustguards at full speed, pennants on the aerials fluttering in the slipstream... M3 Grant had a certain tall, lopsided elegance, too. Regards, MikB

Sorting some pics & vids for someone, & I think these're all pretty handsome, so there: Vickers Medium Churchill, Cromwell, Comet: Tilly 2 in Caunter: Crusader: All snapped at Tankfest 2007/8. Hmmm, maybe I just like tanks...
The King Tiger takes a lot of beating for looking good as well as looking mean with it's long barrel. A very intimidating tank. However, I just love the M5 Stuart light tank. Regards Tom
For the best looking Tanks - I always thought that any knocked out German Tank was just so beautiful...and thought there should have been many more of them- especially Panthers and Tigers.....but then there is no accounting for taste,, Cheers
Crusader for me as well. To me it always had a very modern look to it. I like the looks of the Grant with the long antenna and flat topped turret and bustle too. Much better looking than the Lee. Dave
I've always liked the look of the M-18 Hellcat. :
Well, let's go to both ends: The most good-looking (truly), the Panther. The "most good-looking" , the Matilda, the L3, and the Stuart. I like ugly ducklings...
"Just to be silly. The Bob Semple tank." Owen, was the corrugated iron there to stop sticks and stones hurting the crew? Von Poop is right, I just like tanks! regards Robert
"Just to be silly. The Bob Semple tank." Owen, was the corrugated iron there to stop sticks and stones hurting the crew? Much like in "The Curse of Scotland", we don't want vermin hitching a free ride on HM petrol, do we?
