    Wow what a rare beauty that is .
    A Morris-Commercial Reconnaissance car I believe , bodywork by Mulliner and only 80 made .
    Would look great on the rally field !

    It's been a while since I looked at the French photo archives, and they seem to have added a couple of photos of a Guy wheeled tank advancing into Belgium. They have it captioned as 12th Lancers, but it has to be Hopkinson....and an MW too at the same location.

    Such a shame we don't know of any of these larger British trucks surviving. We'd certainly look to save one if we could find one, Foden or ERF.

    It's odd there are no survivors as they will have been very useful haulers in civilian hands post war as they were diesel powered and differed little from their civilian counterparts. No all wheel drive and petrol power complications.
    They were also strongly built, premium quality and expensive trucks in their time.

    We have a 1946 ERF awaiting restoration, used in the rebuilding of Bath / Bristol area after the war.

    Coincidentally been loking at pics of recent London to Brighton run and there is a wartime ERF and Foden !
