    Hi Ray and welcome,

Just wondering do you know anything about the glider that carried Jack Fulton to Germany - chalk number, where it may have landed, who else was on board, etc.?

    Regards ...

Hi Cee and thanks for the welcome.
Unfortunately do not know anything about glider, landing place etc. Will be returning to the R.U.R Museum in Belfast with the info I have gained from this website and hopefully the Curator will have more information.Did a Wikipedia search on 195th(Airlanding)Field Ambulance and very informative.Know the 195th landed from 21.00 the evening 6.6.44 in 10 Horsa gliders.

Thanks for reply Cee.Looking at my Grandfathers Military Record know that he was reported as Missing in Action on 24.3.45 and later confirmed as P.O.W at Dulag X1B near Fallingbostel.Am so glad I have found this website. An absolute treasure trove of info and am confident with the info gained will be able to get my Grandfathers full story.

    Regards

    Hey Ray,

With his RUR connection he is probably a good candidate for being on board Capt. Shaw's glider.

Thanks for reply Cee.Will now have this info to give to the Curator at the R.U.R Museum. It is all fascinating to discover. My Grandfather died when I was 9 and like alot of others never spoke about his experiences in the war.It is so good to keep his and others experiences alive.

    Regards

    Hi Ray Fulton

Best of luck with your research, I hope very much that you find your grandfather's glider number.....as there's an extremely good chance he would have been on the same glider as Richard Bullivant, a medic who Cee has helped me, enormously, research. In fact, they both ended up in the same POW camp, Dulag X1B.
