This is of course WW1 service and there is a fair amount of information available online on Alfred Aston; his Medal Index Card, Award Roll and service records, note that you posted the same image twice and there are 6 pages of B103.

He moved between units, hence the variation of service numbers, in WW1 a new number was allocated on transfer, this is in contrast to WW2 where a man retained the same number even when transferred.

    His Award Roll shows:
45210 Pte 22nd Coy, Machine Gun Corps and 24th Coy Machine Gun Corps
578372 966 Coy Labour Corps and 793 Coy Labour Corps
    GS/111033 44th Royal Fusilers

He joined up 25/8/15, South Staffordshire Regt No. 4573
Part of his right index finger was amputated (blown off by shrapnel)

Medal card of Aston, Alfred Corps: Machine Gun Corps Regiment No: 45210 ... | The National Archives

If I were you I would get his complete records, create a timeline of his service in the different units and then look for the war diaries for the particular units at the relevant dates. For example
24 Battalion Machine Gun Corps | The National Archives

    He is also duplicated here:
