    Hello,

I am really hoping someone here will be able to help. My Grandfather served in the Army Catering Corps in the 32nd LAA from May 1944 until March 1946, but there seems to be almost no information on where they were posted. I remember he said that he went to the Netherlands but other than that I cannot find out anything else.
I am trying to fill in the blanks for my mum as part of our family history as a Christmas present.
I also have the numbers 2e21/2155/44 can any tell me what they mean and also WOUM.

Sorry to be asking so many questions in my first post!

    Thank you in advance

    Hi Rob,

Sorry to be a pain but I cannot find the records you mentioned and it won't let me put the record numbers you listed. Can you point me in the right direction?

    Thank you.

    Hi & Welcome.

There is one more war diary. WO171/9113 covering Jan & Feb 1946. Around this time a lot of the RA units were disbanded.

The WO171 means that 32 LAA served in France, Belgium, Netherlands & Germany.

Prior to his joining, they served in Malta, so would have been an experienced unit. The bulk of the 26 men who died serving with 32 LAA were killed there in 1942.

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers - Rob

    Hi Ron,
Thank you for the welcome and yes I have but it only gives details of a record card and no other details on the unit, unless I am looking in the wrong place?
