A name appears in the London Gazette in 1955. Same service number but the middle initial is different.

    Sergeant R G Gould, Service No 6090043
Awarded a Mentioned in Despatches on 31 May 1955 whilst serving with the Queen's Royal Regiment (West Surrey) in Malaya between 1 July - 31 December 1954.

    Hi Stuart,

I'm sure you've already come across the following Goulds. There are a couple listed on Paradata, a R.D. and a R.C. Gould. Name wise if your the initials are correct the one that comes closest is Raymond Dan Gould who was killed at Arnhem. His service number, however, is different - 14411243.

    GOULD, RAYMOND DAN - CWGC

There was also a Sgt. Roy Gould, a RAF pilot seconded to ‘M’ Squadron, Glider Pilot Regiment who was mentioned in a June 1945 exercise incident in "Stirlings in Action with the Airborne Forces"

    Regards ...
