    Hi all

New to the forum but am digging around for information about my Great Uncle, Corporal Norman Reginald Jones, service number 2929463 who served in the 1st Regiment Recce. He died on the 8th February 1941. According to the records some of my family have he died "9 miles north of Anzio". His body was never found. Any records of any kind regarding Norman would be great to find. Annecdotes, things leading up to the action he was involved with or even an action report of that day. I suspect he was either up near "the factory" or Carroceto. Hard to tell but from the London Irish website the British 1st Infantry account of the 7th and 8th of February was probably unimaginable to us today from such a safe distance.

    Warm regards
