Hi mprior1 sorry I have not been on here for a long time and only just saw your post now. That is great that your gt grandad is in the group photo that I posted. I am sure they would have know each other. I have a few other pics that I will try and post for you.

    Hi cmc39v,

Again, I haven't been on here for a long time and just saw it in my history so thought I'd have another look. If you see this thread again and you still have some more pictures it would be great to see them and see if my gt grandad is in any of them. We don't have a great deal on info on him so anything else we can find would be lovely.

    Many thanks

    Mike

This is really helpful, thank you. This makes sense as I have photographs some of which have place names written on the back with dates. For instance, Clacton on Sea 1944, Brussels Dec 1944, Zeven, Germany 1945, Nienburg near Munster Aug 45, Seelze, near Hanover Sep 45 and then released in Jan 46 from Herford.
I would be really keen to understand what they did during the war a bit more and also if they were at Bergen-Belsen as I also have photographs of the Belsen concentration camp. I will post a few more photos. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks
