Hi, im hoping I am in the right area for this. My father served in the army at the age of 16 in new guinea. After he was discharged for being under age he then re-enlisted in the air force and trained in Canada and was "on loan" to Air Sea Rescue as a Wireless Air Operator/Gunner. He was on the RAN ASR "Air Foam" formerly named "Air Wave" 912. I have some fantastic photos which I will upload from my fathers war album he kept. I also have copies of naval messages he took of the surrender of germany and also the surrender of Japan which i will upload below. I would love to know whether anyone recognises any of the faces in the photos and if any of them are still alive. Unfortunately my father passed away 5 years ago and we really didnt know too much of his life when he served.
