Wary of first time posts like this, entirely off topic, a loaded question, asking for our opinions yet offering none.

Not aware of the story, but this link is about a chap originally from Pakistan.

I have no opinion to offer other than I think cricket is a dreadfully dull game. :)

    Hi dbf
You say my post was off topic
But it says that the " Barracks" is for off topic items.
I think it is best if I log off and just be a looker
    Best wishes Turker

Indeed Barracks is for off-topic, but I was actually giving all the reasons why I'd be wary of answering replying directly to your question. Apparently the basis of your now-edited original post wasn't quite right anyway.

Naturally it remains your decision whether or not to 'log off', done it myself, a few times!

    Regards

D was saying one of your first posts on the forum was ''off topic''.
Members to WW2Talk usually start off with a WW2 related post & then go onto 'The Barracks' for a bit of a chit-chat not related to WW2.
Imaging WW2Talk wasnt an internet forum but a group of people meeting at the local community centre , church hall or backroom of a pub.
You'd have a few speakers on WW2 , a Q&A session about the talks & then afterwards a chat over a cuppa or a pint about anything you like.
I doubt if anyone would really go to a meeting about WW2 then instantly start up a chat about Aussie cricketers, would they ?

I hope you can see what D was getting at.

There's no problem with posting 'off topic' stuff but surely not as a first post ?
I wouldnt join a cricketing forum & make my first post about German field kitchens or the amount of rivets on M3 Grant .

edit: I see you're first ever thread was also about Cricket.
(Which we managed to find some WW2 content.)

Are you on the correct forum ?
    ;)
