    Hi there,

I was wondering if there have been any accounts of the Red Army releasing Jewish PoW's from concentration camps, only to allow some to join the Soviets in their battle for Berlin or other key battles??

    Thank you very much

    I've never come across any.

I suspect that there were camp survivors who did take up arms against their former persecutors, Jewish as well as non-Jews. I think that many would have liked to but whether they were physically capable after their incarceration is another question.

I have read of cases where former guards were handed over to the inmates who then disposed of them. "Many guards were also killed by the liberated prisoners," from Dachau concentration camp - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Colour film documenting the liberation of Dachau (not for those with a weak constitution) Liberation of Dachau in Color - Vidéo Dailymotion
