I discovered this book existed via an eBay auction. Alas, in the time it took me to sort out my credit card to pay for it, someone else had snatched it from my virtual grasp. Should anyone here happen to own a copy, I'd be very grateful if they would be willing to check/copy the information on the unit's sojourn in Hong Kong from September 1949 to October 1951. Or point me towards another place I can buy it.
One member in 2012 had the book, but only posted once: https://ww2talk.com/index.php?members/j-weldon-york.34257/ Quick look may have moved from York in 2014. Steve Mac posted the same list, with a different name in 2011. See Post 8: 113 Field Regt R.A. - Italy He refers to Dick Flory NT as a member. Steve has not been aboard since 2022. Much obliged, Sir. I have it noted that at this time 14 Field Regt R.A. comprised: 1 Battery ‘The Blazers’, 5 (Gibraltar) Battery, 13 (Martinique) Battery Are you able to confirm this?
Is this the same Regiment mentioned in the book? The battery numbers seem to fit. 28 Field Regiment RA - The Royal Artillery 1939-45 28 Field Regiment RA was re-designated 14 Field Regiment RA in April 1947.
