    Additional Info: Son of Spr. Israel Averback, R.E. (died of wounds in France, 7th June, 1918), and of Leah Averback, of Leeds, Yorkshire.

    My first thought was how tragic to lose for a family to lose a father in WW1 and then a son in WW2
    My second thought was to note that he was serving in the Catering Corps at the time of his death, perhaps not always considered to be risky in wartime.

    My final thought was to query his age at the time he was killed... 25 ?
    His father was killed in June 1918
    Something doesn't quite tally there, or is it me ?

    I think this is the man - Israel Averbach born Leeds Q/E December 1918. Dates look OK to me.

    He has a Royal Artillery Service Number. Wonder how he ended up in the Catering Corp.

    Looks like he was just born when his Father died and he was nearly 26
