    His Majesty the KING has been graciously pleased to confer the Military Cross on the underm entioned Officers and Warrant Officers in recognition of their gallantry and devotion to duty in the Field:—
    Lt. Charles Hugh Brittan, R.F.A.
    For conspicuous gallantry in action. He carried out a daring reconnaissance under heavy fire, and obtained most valuable in- formation. He has previously rendered valuable services.
