Personal Inscription ALL HE HOPED FOR, ALL HE HAD, HE GAVE "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS" ---- x ---- Incidentally - the CWGC has D/W - died of wounds - and 10d6m1944 as his date of death. It is therefore a bit unclear as to when he was actually wounded, albeit he is mentioned on p90 of the Regimental history of the 24th Lancers - "None Had Lances" / NHL - as amongst those that "were killed" on the 10th June. There is another difference however, in that unlike the other 24th Lancers that died on that day he was buried in the Ryes cemetery. ---- x ---- He was the uncle of the Northampton born author - Alan Moore - Alan Moore - Wikipedia
