    Hello SuzQ

You might find this old thread useful:77 Field Regiment, R.A.

Looks like the war dairy was posted back in 2011 by Drew, but the picture files are long gone, however the war dairy for 24th - 31st May has been retyped by cbfuk and appears at the bottom of page 2 of that thread. Note that cbfuk has not been active on this forum since 2017.

    Hope that helps.

    SuzQ,

There are many threads here for the regiment when you search online with: "77 field regiment" site:ww2talk.com

Changed the search to: "77 field regiment" + "diary" site:ww2talk.com that id'd quite a few, some are duplicates, others are not.

Then used: "77th field regiment" + "diary" site:ww2talk.com same result at a glance.

Drew keeps his records and will ask for a charitable donation, you've posted enough to use the Private Message (PM) option.

Have a look at: Ancestry - War Diaries for the latest list of what Ancestry has available (£££)

    Hi SuzQ,

If you searched 77th Field Regiment you may have come across some of my easier posts.

My great uncle Charles Frederick Burns was in that unit and was killed on 21st May 1940 in Belgium, he has no grave and is on the Dunkirk memorial and I have been researching since 2019 to try and find out where his remains may be.

What is your interest in the unit? Do you have a family member who was in it?

I am happy to send you the information I have on the unit if you would like it.

    All the best,
    Adam
