76th Anti-Aircraft Brigade / 2nd Searchlight Regiment - Request War Diary

Discussion in 'Royal Artillery' started by Peter-Willem Langebeeke, Aug 4, 2021.

  1. Hi all,

Requesting the War Diary from the 76th AA bde. I'm researching a soldier (Arthur George Hawkins) who was part of the 2nd Searchlight Regiment and sadly was killed on 03/03/1945 in the Netherlands. The War Diary would be really helpfull to get some more information about him.

Would be great if someone can help me out!

    Teetie,

Peter has not logged in since August 2023, so we do not know if he got the War Diary or any other progress.

    This is their potted history:
From: 2 Searchlight Regiment RA - The Royal Artillery 1939-45

CWGC record: https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/find-war-dead/casualty-details/2054339/arthur-george-hawkins/ and his Service Number was: 1650590. The number has appeared on the site four times, three with the CWGC data only.

There are a small number of threads id'd with an online search: "2nd Searchlight Regiment" site:ww2talk.com . At a glance many refer to 1940 events. A few more are id'd when using: "2 Searchlight Regiment" site:ww2talk.com

It appears that no 1945 War Diaries appear here.
