ON Oct 6th 1944 two men, Gunner Edward Jones and L/Bdr David Richard Parker, both from 196 battery, 73rd Anti tank regiment. Both were wounded in the same artillery strike on their position. Jones died straight away, Parker died the day after. CWG site has them both down as being killed in action on the 6th. Regimental war diaries state otherwise. God bless them both
