Advances parties of 3rd and 5th Parachute Brigades-16 Albermarles of Nos.295 and 570 Squadrons for 3rd Parachute Brigade, and five Albermarles of Nos.296 and 297 Squadrons for 5th Parachute Brigade. (b) 0050 hours Main body of 3rd and 5th Parachute Brigades. 3rd Parachute Brigade to be dropped by 108 Dakotas of No.46 Group and to use 17 Horsas towed by Dakotas and Albermarles of both groups for heavy equipment. 5th Parachute Brigade to be dropped by 131 aircraft, Dakotas and Stirlings, of both groups. (c) 0320 hours Divisional Headquarters including HQ RA, HQ RE, HQ RASC, FOO (Forward Observation Officer) and FOB (Forward Observation Bombardment) parties and 4th Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, RA, to be landed in 65 Horsas and four Hamilcars. (d) 0430 hours Three Horsa gliders towed by Albermarles of No.297 Squadron to land for a direct assault on the Merville coastal battery. (e) 2100 hours Headquarters, 6th Airlanding Brigade; 2nd Battalion Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, less one company and two platoons; 1st Battalion Royal Ulster Rifles; 211th Light Battery, RA and the Armoured Reconnaissance Regiment; A Company, 12th Battalion Devonshire Regiment; 195th Airlanding Field Ambulance; 3rd Airlanding Anti-Tank Battery, RA; 716th Light Company, RASC. The total lift for this party was to consist of 226 Horsas and 30 Hamilcars towed by ten squadrons of No.38 Group and four squadrons of No.46 Group.
