Can anyone help me find anything about CSM C E Manning who was with the 6th Battalion Royal Scots Fusiliers for most of WW2. His Army No was 6018077. Any info regarding where he was during the war would be most welcome. I do know he served under Lt Col E Mackenzie between 1944-45

The stock answer is you need to get his service record from the MoD, there is a form for this and there are links to it on this forum. Tracing WW2 Soldiers
You might also want to obtain a copy of the 6th Bat war diary. Do a search on the forum's search facility as some member may have already got a copy but there are also a couple of members who can make a copy from TNA at a reasonable cost

BTW you might want to ask the mods to change the title of this thread to reflect what you are looking for - get more responses. Edit - I see this has been done
