    Good morning all!

I have an individual on my research list, Sgt William J W Perkin, KIlled in Action on 25 June 1944.

I'm hoping someone might be able to give me some detail of the Btn's actions on this date?

    Thanks in advance, as always

    Hello Brimacombe

I used to live a mile away from the spot.

Attached are two photos I took of the area where the battle took place and also two maps from my book 'The Trasimene Line. June-July 1944'.

    Regards,

    Vitellino (Janet Kinrade Dethick)

I think that a forum member that goes by the name of Charley F may have the war diaries for this period? If he does not, then when i get the time i will have a look into The Queen's Own Royal West Kent Regiment 1920-1950 by H.D.CHAPLIN.

Will have a look over the weekend.

    Regards,
    Stu.

I must have had 6 RWK's diary at some time - perhaps I read it at the NA and made some hand written notes back in 2000 when I was researching the book - but I can't find them...

A quarter of an hour later..

FOUND IT on a memory stick...!

Have also included part of the Perugia 1:100.000 sheet No. 122

Sorry, Stu, missed this thread completely.

I'm not sure that I have June--or perhaps I do--but Vitellino has kindly dug it out anyway.
