    Here is an officer's return for the 6th Nigerian's dated January 2nd 1944. Major Vaughan obviously moves across to command the 7th Nigerian's soon after:

    Thanks to Diane and Guy, I think I have just enough info for an article on Colonel Vaughan for the next CS newsletter. Good to add something about the West African side of things, too often forgotten.
