    Hi all,

I have been passed on some information about a relative that was part of a 4FS Unit that followed up behind the 8th Army.

They followed the 8th Army up the western desert as far as Derma, near Benghazi, then to Alexandria then to Malta.

I'm really trying to find about as much info as possible but can't find anything on the Internet about what a 4FS unit was, does anyone have any info on this?

    Many thanks in advance! :)

This was introduced in 8th Army in 1942 to provide surgical teams for forward medical units. They were always attached to another medical unit.
